Privacy Policy for Rim Check Effective Date: September 13, 2026 This Privacy Policy explains how Rim Check, provided by WASP – Wheel AI Search Project (“WASP”), handles information when you use the Rim Check mobile application. Information Rim Check Processes Rim Check allows users to take or select photographs of wheels for AI-assisted wheel identification. Images submitted for identification may be transmitted securely to remote processing services to analyze the image and return identification results. Images submitted for AI identification are used to provide the requested identification functionality. Rim Check does not require users to create an account. Vehicle information, scan history, favorites, garage information, saved images, and related app preferences may be stored locally on the user's device to provide app functionality. Photos and Camera Users may choose to take or select wheel or vehicle photographs. Wheel photographs submitted for AI identification may be transmitted to remote processing services as necessary to perform the requested analysis. Photos submitted for identification are not sold or used by WASP for advertising purposes. Images processed by Rim Check's identification services are intended to be used only as necessary to provide the requested identification functionality. Access to the camera and photo library is used only when necessary for features that allow the user to take, select, or save images. Location Information Rim Check may request access to your device's location to help you find nearby tire and wheel shops and related automotive services. Location information is used to determine your approximate distance from shops listed within the app and to display relevant nearby results. Rim Check does not require location access for its primary wheel identification functionality. If location permission is not granted, features that depend on your location may be unavailable or limited. WASP does not sell users' location information. Local Shop Directory Rim Check may provide a directory of tire shops, wheel shops, wheel repair businesses, wheel refinishing businesses, and other related automotive services. Business information displayed in the directory may include information such as business name, address, location, contact information, website, and available services. The inclusion of a business in the directory does not necessarily constitute an endorsement by WASP. Advertising The free version of Rim Check uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share information including IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information, advertising identifiers, App Set ID, and other device identifiers. This information may be used for advertising, analytics, measurement, and fraud prevention. Google and its advertising partners may process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable privacy and advertising settings. In-App Purchases Rim Check may offer optional paid PRO access through Apple's App Store and Google Play. Payments are processed by the applicable app store. WASP does not receive or store users' credit-card or other payment-card information. Rim Check may receive or process information necessary to verify purchases, restore purchases, and determine whether a user has an active PRO entitlement. Third-Party Services Rim Check uses third-party services to provide certain features. These may include services for: Advertising AI and image processing Vehicle and wheel information Cloud infrastructure App distribution and in-app purchases Location and mapping functionality Information necessary to provide a requested feature may be transmitted to the applicable service provider. Third-party services process information according to their own terms and privacy policies. Data Security Information transmitted between Rim Check and its remote services is transmitted using encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections where applicable. While reasonable measures are used to protect information, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Data Retention Information stored locally by Rim Check, such as scan history, favorites, vehicle information, garage information, preferences, and saved images, generally remains on the user's device until it is removed by the user, removed through the app, or the app's data is deleted. Images transmitted for AI identification are intended to be processed only as necessary to provide the requested identification and are not maintained by WASP as a permanent user image library. Third-party service providers may retain limited technical, advertising, diagnostic, transaction, or other information according to their own retention policies. Data Sharing and Sale WASP does not sell users' wheel photographs, vehicle photographs, scan history, garage information, or location information. Information may be transmitted to third-party service providers when necessary to provide app functionality, process purchases, display advertising, perform AI analysis, prevent fraud, or operate supporting infrastructure. Children's Privacy Rim Check is not specifically designed or directed toward children. Changes to This Privacy Policy This Privacy Policy may be updated as Rim Check's features, third-party services, or data practices change.
